Ordering acrylic channel letters

What thickness acrylic is used for illuminated letters?
Front-lit letters normally use a 3–5 mm acrylic face. Colour-changing and RGB builds use 12–20 mm acrylic so the light diffuses evenly, and matte, light-diffusing, transparent or UV-printed finishes are all available.
Do acrylic letters fade or yellow outdoors?
Acrylic is UV-stable, which is why it is used outdoors so widely. Where a sign faces direct sun all day we may recommend a UV-printed or tinted face, and tell you honestly how much colour shift to expect over the sign's life.
Are acrylic letters lighter than metal letters?
Yes, and that matters on weak or glazed façades because it reduces the load on the fixing. Acrylic also gives the most uniform glow, which is why it is the default face material for illuminated letters.
